I got into photography in the mid 70s through an uncle who gave me my 1st SLR camera, a Zenith E. It took a while to get to grips with it because every shot was set up manually, nothing like my present digital SLR. This stood me in good stead as I still prefer to shoot manually, but it's now a lot easier.
I like all aspects of photography, but my main interests are motorsports, cycling and land/cityscapes, both abroad, and from my local area of the Dromara Hills, where I used to train when I raced and time-trialled bicycles.
Personally, I like my shots to be what I saw through the camera, and I do as little editing as possible. But I can use Photoshop to do different effects, like if you want a car in colour on a black and white back ground.
